In the 10th minute of the match, Edmundo Valle got a very nice opportunity to score, but Carlos Ornelas was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Leopoldo Jacinto Luque succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 22nd playminute. A hard shot 29 in the game by Edmundo Valle from a close distance when the talented Carlos Ornelas managed to make a qualified save. QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s players were relieved. 32 minutes into the match, QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s goalkeeper Carlos Ornelas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leopoldo Jacinto Luque. After 44 minutes of play, QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s Miroslav Klose made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adam Adamski was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Ríver Late's zone, Gigel Durbac stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adam Adamski came out of the goal and Gigel Durbac tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adam Adamski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miroslav Klose in the 57th minute of play. After 60 minutes, Jairo Moreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C. and the Ríver Late players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jairo Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 62nd match minute, QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jairo Moreira to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Ríver Late's Ciro Egger got a free kick in the 68th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paolo Musko in the 71st minute of play forced QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s goalkeeper Carlos Ornelas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miroslav Klose got free with Adam Adamski in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 76 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.! After a rather tough play, Ríver Late's Espiridion Ascot got a free kick in the 88th minute. Carlos Ornelas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Espiridion Ascot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Miroslav Klose managed to get in a good position for a shot. QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Miroslav Klose was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adam Adamski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
