An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Vachon in the 15th minute of play forced GFK Osogovo's goalkeeper Pande Georgijevski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cezary Sawicki took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Enrique Lekubegi. Enrique Lekubegi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Boris Hristov got free with Enrique Lekubegi in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 26 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Migjen Mena came free, but Enrique Lekubegi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Migjen Mena came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the GFK Osogovo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Migjen Mena couldn't finish the play. 31 minutes into the match, GFK Osogovo's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Hondo came free, but Pande Georgijevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, GFK Osogovo's Cezary Sawicki got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Pande Georgijevski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Hondo, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The supporters of Palermo booed when GFK Osogovo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Slave Temelkov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pande Georgijevski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Donato Vachon went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dionisio Oton during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dionisio Oton hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Pande Georgijevski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

Javier Bazkoare kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Cezary Sawicki came free, but Enrique Lekubegi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute, Boris Hristov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Lisandro Argi fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palermo's protests and gave Lisandro Argi a yellow card for diving instead. After 63 played minutes Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Lisandro Argi. GFK Osogovo's Pande Georgijevski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Vachon in the 65th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Rafael Hondo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Palermo walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
