An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Schär in the 12th minute of play forced Abutres 2003 FDP's goalkeeper Caio da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cristóvão de Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 24 played minutes Abutres 2003 FDP got a freekick which was hit by Claudinei Ceresso. After 25 played minutes, Espen Steelers's Albert Einstein shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Caio da Costa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Espen Steelers reached it. Caio da Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giancarlo Weissmuller, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The Abutres 2003 FDP fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andy Schmid made a kick off. Caio da Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Einstein in the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Einstein in the 55th minute of play forced Abutres 2003 FDP's goalkeeper Caio da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Abutres 2003 FDP's goal looked a bit too open when Salomone Weber came free, but Caio da Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andres Ambühl blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Caio da Costa having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Albert Einstein took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Caio da Costa to make any attempt to save it. Abutres 2003 FDP's Murillo Bittencourt got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Despite being the better team, Espen Steelers failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
