The audience was convinced that Fredric Botvidsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emiliano Cara was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Malte Siöberg in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emiliano Cara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 16 minutes of play, Kind of Blue's Kurt Ahlerot made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emiliano Cara was left in no man's land by his defense there! Allan Vinström made in the 19th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Valdieri's Alessandro Mascitti. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Fredric Botvidsson sped through Valdieri's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Emiliano Cara. After having played for 27 minutes, Alessandro Mascitti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valdieri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alessandro Mascitti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 29 minutes, Allan Vinström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kind of Blue and the Valdieri players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Valdieri booed when Kind of Blue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Vinström didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Kind of Blue's Eric Åkesson got control of the ball when Comunardo Amatori tried to sneak it across the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Per Tunberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emiliano Cara. Valdieri's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Per Tunberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The throw-in from Allan Vinström in the 35th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Valdieri's Fulvio Bozzelli. Bengt-Åke Alkvist took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Emiliano Cara. Valdieri's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fredric Botvidsson in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emiliano Cara saved Valdieri from getting behind. 45 minutes into the game, Fredric Botvidsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Emiliano Cara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Valdieri players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kind of Blue were winning 0-4.

The Kind of Blue fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when Kind of Blue's Malte Siöberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Emiliano Cara was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Malte Siöberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 56 minute of play. Fredric Botvidsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Emiliano Cara made a huge save. A collision led to Kind of Blue getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Jens-Ove Käcker hit a great ball. If Kurt Ahlerot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute Malte Siöberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Cara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, Valdieri's goalkeeper Emiliano Cara had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kurt Ahlerot. 80 minutes into the game, Malte Siöberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Emiliano Cara. Malte Siöberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. In the 84th minute, Kind of Blue's Malte Siöberg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-9. 89 minutes into the match, Kurt Ahlerot dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Emiliano Cara, 0-10. The supporters of Valdieri booed when Kind of Blue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fredric Botvidsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Kind of Blue left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Valdieri.
