Defensores del Albinegro's players were relieved. 15 minutes into the match, Club Almirante Brown's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Jerano came free, but Isidoro Dolfos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17thth minute of the game Aristides Rayman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Defensores del Albinegro's Cornelio Merexildo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Isaias Blasco might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isidoro Dolfos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isaias Blasco ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 21stth minute of the game Lorenzo Lluterio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Almirante Brown's Isidoro Dolfos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lorenzo Lluterio in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isidoro Dolfos saved Club Almirante Brown from getting behind. After 30 played minutes Club Almirante Brown got a freekick which was hit by Ignacio Truylos. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luciano Jerano in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isidoro Dolfos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Defensores del Albinegro's Cornelio Merexildo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Defensores del Albinegro from getting a goal against them. 36 minutes into the game, Elias Tonete threw the ball into play from the sideline. Club Almirante Brown's Oscar Abascal quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Luciano Jerano scored 0-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Isidoro Dolfos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Benedicto Chale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Cornelio Merexildo made a huge save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luciano Jerano was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Club Almirante Brown booed when Defensores del Albinegro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Li Sha Yuan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute Guido Bautista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelio Merexildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
