After 3 played minutes Club Almirante Brown got a freekick which was hit by Ignacio Truylos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristides Rayman in the 12th minute of play forced SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Christiano Arce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cléber da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute of the match, Cléber da Costa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Isidoro Dolfos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cléber da Costa in the 20th minute of play forced Club Almirante Brown's goalkeeper Isidoro Dolfos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute SORRISO E. C. were awarded a corner. Arnaud Clément went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Arnaud Clément almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Club Almirante Brown's Isidoro Dolfos did a great save. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Cléber da Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. SORRISO E. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Cléber da Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isidoro Dolfos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 26th minute Cléber da Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidoro Dolfos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christiano Arce didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benedicto Chale went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Cléber da Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Isidoro Dolfos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 43 minutes, Aristides Rayman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Almirante Brown and the SORRISO E. C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rd match minute, Club Almirante Brown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aristides Rayman to maneuver through the defense. When Benedicto Chale came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Club Almirante Brown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benedicto Chale couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cléber da Costa to make the kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Arnaud Clément in the 51st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Club Almirante Brown's Oscar Abascal. Edmílson da Rocha hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After taking down the ball on Club Almirante Brown's corner Vladimiro Remigio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Christiano Arce quite easily take care of the ball. SORRISO E. C.'s Arnaud Clément quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Tomás Etxepare, made in the 62nd minute of the game. Club Almirante Brown's Isidoro Dolfos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cléber da Costa in the 63rd minute of play. If Cléber da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oscar Abascal hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. If Cléber da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Club Almirante Brown's Federico Quinteros was substituted for Severo Venceslas. Cléber da Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isidoro Dolfos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cléber da Costa in the 77th minute of play. Christiano Arce made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Guido Bautista sent off a good shot on target. Christiano Arce came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Almirante Brown's Guido Bautista. But to his dismay, Guido Bautista quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Guido Bautista in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Christiano Arce, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Through an outstanding action, after 91 minutes, Christiano Arce successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Club Almirante Brown walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
