In the 11th minute, Valdieri's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Fredric Botvidsson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The referee ignored Valdieri's protests and gave Aurelio Di Lullo a yellow card for diving instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edoardo Cabrini couldn't finish the play. Valdieri's Emiliano Cara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Valdieri from getting a goal against them. Fredric Botvidsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Emiliano Cara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kim Samuelsson to make the kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Kind of Blue's Timmy Hammarström made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emiliano Cara was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Kim Samuelsson sped through Valdieri's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Emiliano Cara. In the 60th match minute, Valdieri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Bottone to maneuver through the defense. Emiliano Cara didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kurt Ahlerot went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. 66 minutes into the game, Timmy Hammarström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Emiliano Cara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Fredric Botvidsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emiliano Cara was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fredric Botvidsson in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emiliano Cara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emiliano Cara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per Tunberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute, Timmy Hammarström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kind of Blue fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. The supporters of Kind of Blue booed when Valdieri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Bottone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kind of Blue's Kim Samuelsson got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 87 played minutes Kind of Blue got a freekick which was hit by Fredric Botvidsson. After a defensive mix-up in Valdieri's zone, Timmy Hammarström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emiliano Cara came out of the goal and Timmy Hammarström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Timmy Hammarström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, Fredric Botvidsson made a precise shot to the right of Emiliano Cara. Valdieri's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Kind of Blue had played much better football throughout.
