The corner ended in Clinton Caballero almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Barrenta SC's Nestor Carioca did a great save. After a rather tough play, Barrenta SC's Cido Miranda got a free kick in the 6th minute. Chris Cabezons short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Nestor Carioca to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 14 minutes into the match, Barrenta SC's goal looked a bit too open when Mete Ferro came free, but Nestor Carioca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chris Cabezon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Nestor Carioca made a huge save. After 17 played minutes New England Minas got a freekick which was hit by Rashad Velasquez. 20 minutes into the match, Mete Ferro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nestor Carioca. Barrenta SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mete Ferro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Chris Cabezons short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Nestor Carioca to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Mete Ferro managed to get in a good position for a shot. New England Minas's supporters rose to their feet, but Mete Ferro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nestor Carioca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 29th minute, Mete Ferro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nestor Carioca was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After having played for 32 minutes, Mete Ferro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New England Minas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mete Ferro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 36 minutes, Fellipe de Lima mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barrenta SC and the New England Minas players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 36th match minute, Barrenta SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fellipe de Lima to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Barrenta SC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Cido Miranda hit a great ball. Nestor Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mete Ferro, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After 40 minutes Barrenta SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Clinton Caballero who took care of the corner kick. The corner led New England Minas's Clinton Caballero to fire away a dangerous shot which Nestor Carioca despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Martin Markusson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fábio Lima in the 46th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Luiz Fábio Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barrenta SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Fábio Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Markusson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Fábio Lima to make the kick off. Nestor Carioca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mete Ferro in the 53rd minute of play. 53 minutes into the game, Mete Ferro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Nestor Carioca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 57 minutes into the match, Barrenta SC's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Cabezon came free, but Nestor Carioca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nestor Carioca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rashad Velasquez in the 60th minute of play. Cido Miranda hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Nestor Carioca came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by New England Minas's Mete Ferro. But to his dismay, Mete Ferro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. After 64 played minutes Barrenta SC got a freekick which was hit by Ursino Silvestre. Nestor Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mete Ferro, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mete Ferro in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nestor Carioca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Barrenta SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Yuri Alberto in the 72nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mete Ferro in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nestor Carioca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mete Ferro in the 76th minute of play forced Barrenta SC's goalkeeper Nestor Carioca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute Chris Cabezon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Carioca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. New England Minas were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Barrenta SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Clinton Caballero took the corner. New England Minas's Clinton Caballero was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nestor Carioca in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 85thth minute of the game Mete Ferro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barrenta SC's Nestor Carioca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mete Ferro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nestor Carioca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Luiz Fábio Lima had several of the New England Minas's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 89 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 4-1 score and a disappointed Martin Markusson as he didn't even see the shot coming. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ursino Silvestre got free with Martin Markusson in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When New England Minas's Chris Cabezon in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barrenta SC's goalie prevented a goal. Cido Miranda made in the 95th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by New England Minas's Scottie Ciauri. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. New England Minas were victorious despite being under pressure from Barrenta SC for much of the match.
