With a little luck, Gastres FC's Virgilio Txilar got control of the ball when Chris Cabezon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chris Cabezon's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Virgilio Txilar skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 21 played minutes New England Minas got a freekick which was hit by Fletcher Lund. Clinton Caballero kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 30th minute Javier Stephen suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Wilfredo Middleton's late challenge caught a Gastres FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilfredo Middleton helped the player get up and apologised. Gastres FC made a substitution. Raul Fresco replaced Javier Stephen. The supporters of Gastres FC booed when New England Minas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfredo Middleton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gastres FC's Virgilio Txilar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diogo Yurin in the 37th minute of play. Diogo Yurin succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 45th playminute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chris Cabezon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Gastres FC's Cristo Leocadio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Martin Markusson. That made the score 1-2 after 52 minutes of play. After 56 played minutes New England Minas got a freekick which was hit by Greg Ciccaglione. Chris Cabezon hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fletcher Lund in the 66th minute of play forced Gastres FC's goalkeeper Virgilio Txilar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 73 played minutes New England Minas got a freekick which was hit by Chris Cabezon. Gastres FC's Natalio Refugio got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 82 minutes into the match, Chris Cabezon notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Gastres FC's Virgilio Txilar. Virgilio Txilar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 85 minutes into the game, New England Minas's Diogo Yurin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Virgilio Txilar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Virgilio Txilar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dallas Seymour in the 88th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Gastres FC's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Cabezon came free, but Virgilio Txilar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Virgilio Txilar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Cabezon, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. In the 96th minute Dallas Seymour shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Txilar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. New England Minas were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Gastres FC for a fine match.
