The Salelles fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 20 minutes, Cedro Huguet mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salelles and the PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Salelles's Cedro Huguet got a free kick in the 20th minute. Vlad Covrig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulino Marin in the 26th minute of the match. Vlad Covrig came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Salelles's Paulino Marin. But to his dismay, Paulino Marin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Vlad Covrig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulino Marin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 41st play minutes Paulino Marin shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Vlad Covrig and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Cârlan in the 44th minute of play forced Salelles's goalkeeper Ahmed Venon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Calistrat Şerbănescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's supporters rose to their feet, but Calistrat Şerbănescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmed Venon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Salelles were winning 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Calistrat Şerbănescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute Fidel Astudillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vlad Covrig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Damian Cârlan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ahmed Venon was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Damian Cârlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rdth minute of the game Calistrat Şerbănescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Salelles's Ahmed Venon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sebastian Istodor in the 79th minute. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Sebastian Istodor was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ahmed Venon in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ahmed Venon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Cârlan in the 81st minute of the match. Mohamed Reina's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vlad Covrig firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 84th minute, Paulino Marin made a precise shot to the right of Vlad Covrig. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. 91 minutes into the game, Eric Astafei was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Salelles the free kick. The supporters of Salelles booed when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Astafei didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th match minute, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Calistrat Şerbănescu to maneuver through the defense.
