Manly FC's Sydney Ross proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Manly FC from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rob Burton in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Remus Vuia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Manole Colin charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manole Colin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Manly FC booed when Granicerul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manole Colin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remus Vuia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Randle Rutledge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Granicerul's zone, Rob Burton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remus Vuia came out of the goal and Rob Burton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eusebiu Ianculescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Sydney Ross made a huge save. Granicerul's Remus Vuia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Randle Rutledge in the 44th minute of play. The Granicerul players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Manly FC were winning 0-2.

In the 54th match minute, Granicerul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusebiu Ianculescu to maneuver through the defense. Jack Ares kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Manly FC's Randle Rutledge sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Remus Vuia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Valeriu Zoreanu hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Randle Rutledge's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Remus Vuia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Mourad Rocchi was slow to take the kick. During this time Manly FC's players had a chance to rest. Manly FC's Mourad Rocchi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Remus Vuia in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of Granicerul booed when Manly FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Lenard didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Manly FC's goal looked a bit too open when Iordache Ioneasa came free, but Sydney Ross reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Manly FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
