When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Tauri Roost took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Steve Van der Veeken to make any attempt to save it. Purple Talents's Donato Azevedo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ahto Karindi in the 6 minute of the game. 11 minutes into the match, FC Hugo's goal looked a bit too open when Qiu Feng Guo came free, but Andre Pere reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Qiu Feng Guo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andre Pere having to make a save. Andre Pere showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Qiu Feng Guo, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Andre Pere didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Qiu Feng Guo went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Qiu Feng Guo in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andre Pere prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 18 minutes into the match, Qiu Feng Guo notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of FC Hugo's Andre Pere. Andre Pere was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Andre Pere showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Batistuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Purple Talents's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Yvan Loos in the 22nd minute. The corner led Purple Talents's Yvan Loos to fire away a dangerous shot which Andre Pere despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Hugo's Ahto Karindi got a free kick in the 24th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robert Ojamäe got free with Steve Van der Veeken in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Qiu Feng Guo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Purple Talents's supporters rose to their feet, but Qiu Feng Guo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andre Pere breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 41st minute, Qiu Feng Guo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Purple Talents fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Steve Van der Veeken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Helari Põldmaa in the 45th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Qiu Feng Guo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andre Pere was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. Purple Talents were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after FC Hugo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Yvan Loos took the corner. The FC Hugo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Purple Talents were winning 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Michel Batistuta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Qiu Feng Guo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andre Pere read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Andre Pere showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Qiu Feng Guo in the 59th minute of the match. Qiu Feng Guo scored 1-5 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andre Pere, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Michel Batistuta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Andre Pere made a huge save. 66 minutes into the game, Purple Talents's Qiu Feng Guo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andre Pere made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. Andre Pere took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Qiu Feng Guo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, FC Hugo's Kristjan Öövel got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Purple Talents made a substitution. Reemy Godefroid replaced Michel Batistuta. After 74 played minutes FC Hugo got a freekick which was hit by Kristjan Öövel. Andre Pere didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Qiu Feng Guo went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-7 was the resulting score. When Qiu Feng Guo came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Purple Talents fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Qiu Feng Guo couldn't finish the play. Purple Talents's Charl Anthonis managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Kristjan Öövel in the 84 minute of the game. Andre Pere made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reemy Godefroid in the 86th minute. When Helari Põldmaa came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the FC Hugo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Helari Põldmaa couldn't finish the play. Qiu Feng Guo scored 1-9 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andre Pere, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Purple Talents's Steve Van der Veeken played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juhan Lemsalu in the 96th minute of play. The Purple Talents supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Purple Talents would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
