Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Elói Senna got the match started through his kick off. 11 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goal looked a bit too open when Waldemar Radziszewski came free, but Lúcio Domingues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elói Senna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Marcelo Linares made a huge save. Cássio Aparecido kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Minuano's zone, Elói Senna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Linares came out of the goal and Elói Senna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The corner led Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Alexsandro da Silveira to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcelo Linares despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

A collision led to Nova Iguaçu MZFC getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Tomás Marques hit a great ball. In the 66th minute, Tiago Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronaldinho Prado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Lúcio Domingues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalkeeper Lúcio Domingues had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Waldemar Radziszewski. Atlético Minuano's Marcelo Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Aparecido in the 91st minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Nova Iguaçu MZFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Atlético Minuano had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
