Anselmo Deneken showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Burdujan, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute Horaţiu Corduneanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Deneken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Dalgalarrando in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Silviu Lung, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 25 minutes into the match, Dragones Celestes's goal looked a bit too open when Ovidiu Borza came free, but Anselmo Deneken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute, Horaţiu Corduneanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stiinta-Univ. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Horaţiu Corduneanu was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th play minute Manuel Burdujan came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Anselmo Deneken. 1-2. In the 62nd minute, Manuel Burdujan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The supporters of Dragones Celestes booed when Stiinta-Univ. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Burdujan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute of the match Hugo Orlando Ferraro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silviu Lung skillfully saved the ball. Stiinta-Univ. were furious when Matei Giosu was red carded, 67 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 67th minute, one of Stiinta-Univ.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Stiinta-Univ.. In the 69th minute there was a penalty for Dragones Celestes. Hugo Orlando Ferraro stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Silviu Lung. 2-3. Horaţiu Corduneanu charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Horaţiu Corduneanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Stiinta-Univ. getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Horaţiu Corduneanu hit a great ball. Antonio Abrigo hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Irinel Itoafă hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Horaţiu Corduneanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Anselmo Deneken tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amato Ochagavia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silviu Lung having to interfere. After 94 minutes, Estebano Tuñon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dragones Celestes and the Stiinta-Univ. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 94th match minute, Dragones Celestes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Estebano Tuñon to maneuver through the defense.
