When Inter de Guayaquil FC's Blanco Lambarida in 11 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Antonio Simone guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After 11th play minutes Blanco Lambarida shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Antonio Simone and just under the crossbar into goal. Antonio Simone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blanco Lambarida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vicente Depino to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Bebeto Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zuriko Lagala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Blanco Lambarida might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antonio Simone. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Blanco Lambarida ran back to his position shaking his head. Blanco Lambarida could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Antonio Simone made a huge save. A.S. Ian Fenomeni's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Blanco Lambarida scored to the left of an out of position Antonio Simone, making the score, 1-2. Vicente Depino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Antonio Simone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, A.S. Ian Fenomeni's goalkeeper Antonio Simone had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Blanco Lambarida. After 65 played minutes A.S. Ian Fenomeni got a freekick which was hit by Bebeto Queirós. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Blanco Lambarida in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antonio Simone prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Blanco Lambarida's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antonio Simone was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Blanco Lambarida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Simone having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, A.S. Ian Fenomeni's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Depino came free, but Antonio Simone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, A.S. Ian Fenomeni's Antonio Simone got control of the ball when Blanco Lambarida tried to sneak it across the goal line. Inter de Guayaquil FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
