In the 30thth minute of the game Bebeto Queirós who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Mukenio's Ruben Benvido was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Edoardo Pelati had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, A.S. Ian Fenomeni's Ruben Benvido threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bebeto Queirós, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antonio Simone prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Bebeto Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.S. Ian Fenomeni's supporters rose to their feet, but Bebeto Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruben Benvido breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 82 minutes, Bebeto Queirós made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Deportivo Mukenio's Ruben Benvido tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Antonio Simone made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristo Bermudo in the 89th minute. Ian Fenomeni's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
