After 28 minutes of play, Ampthill FC's Gez Little made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romeo Hizo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Romeo Hizo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gez Little's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gez Little in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romeo Hizo saved Purcaresti CSS from getting behind.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gez Little was the one to do the kick off. Eugen Tiberiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Nial Botham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Purcaresti CSS's Romeo Hizo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gez Little in the 91st minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Purcaresti CSS's goal looked a bit too open when Gez Little came free, but Romeo Hizo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Jack Potts came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Ampthill FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jack Potts couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle sounded Ampthill FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Purcaresti CSS.
