In the 3rd minute, Ruud Geels fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Doriva de Queirós, passed just outside the right post. Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's Doriva de Queirós proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. Doriva de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruud Geels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oscar Vaalman scored 1-0 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Doriva de Queirós, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Doriva de Queirós was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Oscar Vaalman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Oscar Vaalman really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Theo Zoontjens's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Doriva de Queirós firmly grabbed it by the left post. 34 minutes into the match, Ruud Geels notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's Doriva de Queirós. Doriva de Queirós was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Doriva de Queirós didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Theo Zoontjens went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Theo Zoontjens got free with Doriva de Queirós in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sílvio Saldanha hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Ruud Geels struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Doriva de Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Verwachting. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leonardo Mineiro to strike the kick off in the second half. Doriva de Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Vaalman in the 53rd minute of play. Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's Doriva de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theo Zoontjens in the 54th minute of play. After 54 played minutes Verwachting got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Vaalman. Kees Veentjer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonardo Mineiro in the 55th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Theo Zoontjens in the 61st minute of play forced Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Doriva de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doriva de Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Vaalman in the 63rd minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Hendrik Hoekstra came free, but Doriva de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juvenal Netto charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juvenal Netto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 76th minute, Juvenal Netto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute Leonardo Mineiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kees Veentjer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's Belmiro Lopez got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's Doriva de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theo Zoontjens in the 84th minute of play. Oscar Vaalman's late challenge caught a Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oscar Vaalman helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th minute, Oscar Vaalman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 86 minutes into the match, Verwachting's goalkeeper Kees Veentjer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonardo Mineiro. Theo Zoontjens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th minute, Tales Maranhense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee ended the match the Verwachting players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
