Candido Urbes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Edvin Hodneland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edvin Hodneland didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Candido Urbes went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. A hard shot 11 in the game by Candido Urbes from a close distance when the talented Edvin Hodneland managed to make a qualified save. Saga TF's players were relieved. 12 minutes into the game, Karl Granberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saga TF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mellbystrand IK the free kick. Karl Granberg hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Edvin Hodneland was a little too slow when Candido Urbes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 17th minute, Candido Urbes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edvin Hodneland. The goal made the score 3-0. 22 minutes into the match, Mellbystrand IK's Candido Urbes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edvin Hodneland narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edvin Hodneland stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Candido Urbes's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Candido Urbes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edvin Hodneland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Candido Urbes, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Candido Urbes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edvin Hodneland read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Hubert Henriksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edvin Hodneland was a little too slow when Arman Björklund got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 4-0. In the 36th minute, Fritz Wiberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edvin Hodneland was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. 39 minutes into the game, Mellbystrand IK's Candido Urbes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edvin Hodneland made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Candido Urbes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Arman Björklund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mellbystrand IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Arman Björklund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edvin Hodneland breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

With a little luck, Mellbystrand IK's Joseph Söderberg got control of the ball when Finn Skjørestad tried to sneak it across the goal line. Candido Urbes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute, Arman Björklund made a precise shot to the right of Edvin Hodneland. Saga TF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Candido Urbes in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edvin Hodneland saved Saga TF from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Candido Urbes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edvin Hodneland was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Mellbystrand IK's Jakob Holmgren was substituted for Hubert Henriksson. Arman Björklund might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edvin Hodneland. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arman Björklund ran back to his position shaking his head. Edvin Hodneland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arman Björklund in the 78th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Saga TF defense, Arman Björklund kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edvin Hodneland. The Saga TF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edvin Hodneland should have stopped the shot. Fritz Wiberg struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Edvin Hodneland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mellbystrand IK. Mellbystrand IK's Candido Urbes got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edvin Hodneland didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Candido Urbes went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 10-0 was the resulting score. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mellbystrand IK fully deserved thier win.
