Candido Urbes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 3rdth minute, Kolbeinn Ármannsson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jarl Kormáksson made in the 4th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Örn Týrsson immediately put the ball in play. 10 minutes into the match, Mellbystrand IK's goal looked a bit too open when Skarphéðinn Ormarsson came free, but Joseph Söderberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Æsir Ásgarðr's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Skjöldur Reimarsson in the 12th minute. In the 17th minute, Mathías Friðþjófsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kolbeinn Ármannsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karl Månsson went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Kolbeinn Ármannsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Urbes in the 23rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Æsir Ásgarðr's Dýri Jósafatsson got a free kick in the 24th minute. After 27 played minutes Mellbystrand IK got a freekick which was hit by Magne Holmberg. After 28 played minutes, Æsir Ásgarðr's Skjöldur Reimarsson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joseph Söderberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Æsir Ásgarðr reached it. The crowd rose to their feet as Mellbystrand IK's Candido Urbes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kolbeinn Ármannsson. That made the score 2-0 after 30 minutes of play. Kolbeinn Ármannsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Candido Urbes, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Kolbeinn Ármannsson didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 34th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. Kolbeinn Ármannsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fritz Wiberg in the 37th minute of play. If Candido Urbes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Candido Urbes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Æsir Ásgarðr's Kolbeinn Ármannsson got control of the ball when Fritz Wiberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kolbeinn Ármannsson didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Mellbystrand IK's Candido Urbes shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-0 in the ordered_time% minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Skjöldur Reimarsson to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Karl Månsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mellbystrand IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl Månsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kolbeinn Ármannsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Æsir Ásgarðr's Kolbeinn Ármannsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chadli Said in the 53rd minute of play. After 54 minutes Æsir Ásgarðr's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hubert Henriksson who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, Æsir Ásgarðr's Aron Hafbergsson got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute Candido Urbes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kolbeinn Ármannsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karl Månsson scored 5-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kolbeinn Ármannsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Candido Urbes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Kolbeinn Ármannsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mellbystrand IK made a substitution. Jakob Holmgren replaced Hubert Henriksson. After having played for 76 minutes, Karl Månsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mellbystrand IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl Månsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 78th minute Candido Urbes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kolbeinn Ármannsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kolbeinn Ármannsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl Månsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Neisti Runólfsson kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Kolbeinn Ármannsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Urbes in the 88th minute of play. When Mellbystrand IK's Candido Urbes in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Æsir Ásgarðr's goalie prevented a goal. Kolbeinn Ármannsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Urbes in the 93rd minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Mellbystrand IK players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
