Emerson de Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Jonathan Zanette showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Isaksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 32nd minute of the match KKPN Baltyk Koszalin got a corner. Grêmio 20 Julho's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Osman Ali Sadun ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 33 minutes, Horacio Eleazar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KKPN Baltyk Koszalin and the Grêmio 20 Julho players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zbyszko Bugno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdemar de Amaral in the 34th minute of play. With his leg Jonathan Zanette managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when KKPN Baltyk Koszalin's Horacio Eleazar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. You Chen Yuan kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valdemar de Amaral in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zbyszko Bugno saved KKPN Baltyk Koszalin from getting behind. After the first half Grêmio 20 Julho were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lars Isaksson made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Grêmio 20 Julho's Valdemar de Amaral ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zbyszko Bugno. Zbyszko Bugno yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. After 54 played minutes Grêmio 20 Julho got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Toscano. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacek Dombrowski in the 56th minute of play forced Grêmio 20 Julho's goalkeeper Jonathan Zanette to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Although KKPN Baltyk Koszalin had been in control for most of the match, Grêmio 20 Julho still came away with the win.
