Zézinho Freire was slow to take the kick. During this time TAQUARI FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led TAQUARI FC's Zézinho Freire to fire away a dangerous shot which Nicholas Ochavarri despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 13th minute, Perutxo Echaniz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, TAQUARI FC's goal looked a bit too open when Osorio Ubago came free, but Sílvio Zonta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gonçalo de Queirós hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Josué Brito hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. When JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's Alessandro Del Piero in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye TAQUARI FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's Perutxo Echaniz got a free kick in the 24th minute. TAQUARI FC's Zézinho Freire got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's Nicholas Ochavarri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Paulo França in the 27th minute of play. After 29 played minutes TAQUARI FC got a freekick which was hit by Josué Brito. After 30 played minutes, JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's Lilian Thuram shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sílvio Zonta came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC reached it. In the 32nd minute, Zézinho Freire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Alessandro Del Piero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's Nicholas Ochavarri got control of the ball when Luís Paulo França tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alessandro Del Piero was the one to do the kick off. Nicholas Ochavarri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Paulo França, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osorio Ubago who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Sílvio Zonta when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Luís Paulo França received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Nicholas Ochavarri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaxan Vallejoller's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicholas Ochavarri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Valdir Peres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 92 minutes into the game, Gaxan Vallejoller was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TAQUARI FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC the free kick. Alessandro Del Piero did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Sílvio Zonta 94 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than TAQUARI FC.
