Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Orlando Castulo got the match started through his kick off. When Melchor Joachim came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Imperio Académico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melchor Joachim couldn't finish the play. Eriberto Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Francisco Chabier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Botafogo AP's Chiquinho Vasconcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Castulo in the 16th minute of play. Aureliano Quirce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Chiquinho Vasconcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francisco Chabier made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when André Luís Trigo sent off a good shot on target. Chiquinho Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melchor Joachim in the 35th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Melchor Joachim in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chiquinho Vasconcelos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Imperio Académico's Melchor Joachim in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Botafogo AP's goalie prevented a goal. After 45 minutes of play, Imperio Académico's Melchor Joachim made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chiquinho Vasconcelos was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Botafogo AP players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Imperio Académico were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when André Luís Trigo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Aureliano Quirce left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Imperio Académico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Melchor Joachim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Imperio Académico's supporters rose to their feet, but Melchor Joachim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chiquinho Vasconcelos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leo Ondino received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Chiquinho Vasconcelos came out and tried to block the shot, but Leo Ondino slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 64th minute. Botafogo AP made a substitution. Frank Goiano replaced José Pedro Coelho. With an all-out effort, Imperio Académico's Chiquinho Vasconcelos threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Leo Ondino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Leo Ondino scored 0-6 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Chiquinho Vasconcelos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 76th minute, André Luís Trigo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Botafogo AP fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-6. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Orlando Castulo put it in 1-7 from a short distance just to the right of Chiquinho Vasconcelos. 83 minutes into the match, Botafogo AP's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Ondino came free, but Chiquinho Vasconcelos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chiquinho Vasconcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Sugoi in the 84th minute of play. Frank Goiano kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Botafogo AP made a substitution. Humberto Maia replaced André Luís Trigo. The supporters of Imperio Académico booed when Botafogo AP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Humberto Maia in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Francisco Chabier saved Imperio Académico from getting behind. In the 92nd minute, Eriberto Esteves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Francisco Chabier was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-7. In the 97th minute, Leo Ondino fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Chiquinho Vasconcelos, passed just outside the right post.
