Botafogo AP's Clemente Lopes landed with the leg in an unnatural angle after a tough challenge. The leg was fractured. Carson Coleman charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carson Coleman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Botafogo AP made a substitution. Frank Goiano replaced Clemente Lopes. The supporters of Botafogo AP booed when AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carson Coleman didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregg Beer in the 8th minute of play forced Botafogo AP's goalkeeper Chiquinho Vasconcelos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Corder Kiel might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Chiquinho Vasconcelos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexander Quinnell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Maia in the 12th minute of play. Humberto Maia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Alexander Quinnell made a huge save. The supporters of Botafogo AP booed when AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthias Pike didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Humberto Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB's Matthias Pike got a free kick in the 20th minute. Humberto Maia struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Alexander Quinnell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Botafogo AP. After 28 played minutes Botafogo AP got a freekick which was hit by José Pedro Coelho. Chiquinho Vasconcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corder Kiel in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Eriberto Esteves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 35 minutes, Corder Kiel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Corder Kiel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39thth minute of the game Corder Kiel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Botafogo AP's Chiquinho Vasconcelos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Maia in the 41st minute of play forced AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB's goalkeeper Alexander Quinnell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chiquinho Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corder Kiel in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 44th match minute, AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lance Aylwin to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Alexander Quinnell managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when Botafogo AP's Humberto Maia fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Humberto Maia made a kick off. With a little luck, Botafogo AP's Chiquinho Vasconcelos got control of the ball when Corder Kiel tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 57 played minutes AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Matthias Pike. 61 minutes into the game, Botafogo AP's Frank Goiano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexander Quinnell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The supporters of AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB booed when Botafogo AP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Corder Kiels short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Chiquinho Vasconcelos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Corder Kiel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute, Chiquinho Vasconcelos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Aron Serena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Botafogo AP's Mané Souza was substituted for Clóvis das Neves. The audience thought a goal was coming when Corder Kiel got free with Chiquinho Vasconcelos in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB's Chiquinho Vasconcelos threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aaron Aylwin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Corder Kiel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Chiquinho Vasconcelos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The nice shot from Corder Kiel in the 83rdth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Chiquinho Vasconcelos had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Goiano in the 85th minute of play forced AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB's goalkeeper Alexander Quinnell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Humberto Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Corder Kiel came free with the goalkeeper in the 92nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Chiquinho Vasconcelos could save by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Corder Kiel got free with Chiquinho Vasconcelos in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Botafogo AP's Amílton Motta got a free kick in the 94th minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
