Sandro Ormea came out of the goal and Deivid Queirós tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, DARAS's Ildefonso Frascuelo got a free kick in the 16th minute. The supporters of S.C. Ferrari booed when DARAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Biagio Pantano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filipe Souza struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Sandro Ormea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.C. Ferrari. 30 minutes into the game, Eliseu Souto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.C. Ferrari's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DARAS the free kick. In the 30th minute, Eliseu Souto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to DARAS getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Biagio Pantano hit a great ball. Ildefonso Frascuelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Dudu Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dudu Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rudi Voeler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The S.C. Ferrari players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. DARAS were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rui de Lima stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cléber Arantes kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute, Ildefonso Frascuelo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Dudu Garcia, passed just outside the right post. When Aníbal Furlan fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.C. Ferrari's protests and gave Aníbal Furlan a yellow card for diving instead. Aníbal Furlan hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. S.C. Ferrari's Dudu Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudi Voeler in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui de Lima in the 60th minute of play forced DARAS's goalkeeper Sandro Ormea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Duda das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After 67 played minutes DARAS got a freekick which was hit by Marc Apelkvist. DARAS's Remus Ostoici was substituted for Dobrin Mishev. After 68 played minutes DARAS got a freekick which was hit by Marc Apelkvist. Rômulo Freitas charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rômulo Freitas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 71 played minutes S.C. Ferrari got a freekick which was hit by Rômulo Freitas. Filipe Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 76 minutes into the game, DARAS's Rudi Voeler nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dudu Garcia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Deivid Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. DARAS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
