A hard shot by Breno Ribeiro from long distance, 20 minutes into the match, got Neville Smythe's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Kaidan Vangelfeldt charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kaidan Vangelfeldt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ferrari's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vinícius Carneiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rui de Lima blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Neville Smythe having to make a save. Rui de Lima succeeded in the game's 45th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brandon Liau was the one to do the kick off. Ruan Botha hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. If Alfredo Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 64th minute of the match Alfredo Paraibano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Neville Smythe skillfully saved the ball. In the 70th minute, Rui de Lima left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S.C. Ferrari fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0.
