Nistor Arjoca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfred Mabalane in the 5th minute of the match. Bradley Fredericks charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bradley Fredericks the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. FC Johannesburg's Neville Smythe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliodor Birișu in the 8th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Johannesburg's Cobus Bischoff got a free kick in the 10th minute. -BZF- Petrolul Berca's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marioara Birligea in the 14th minute. The corner ended in Emilian Ciprian almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Johannesburg's Neville Smythe did a great save. In the 16th minute, Ruan Botha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 17 played minutes Isac Baldovin rounded FC Johannesburg's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. In the 26th match minute, FC Johannesburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cobus Bischoff to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Eliodor Birișu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Neville Smythe. That made the score 2-0 in the 28 minute of play. Neville Smythe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilian Ciprian in the 31st minute of play. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Petrolul Berca's Mihai Opriș got a free kick in the 38th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eliodor Birișu made a kick off. Mihai Opriș took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Neville Smythe. Neville Smythe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Eliodor Birișu took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Neville Smythe. Neville Smythe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. 62 minutes into the game, Emilian Ciprian cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Neville Smythe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 70th minute Eliodor Birișu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Neville Smythe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred Mabalane in the 72nd minute of play forced -BZF- Petrolul Berca's goalkeeper Nistor Arjoca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Johannesburg's Brandon Liau got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 80 minutes into the game, Emilian Ciprian cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Neville Smythe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FC Johannesburg's Neville Smythe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihai Opriș in the 90th minute of play. There was no doubt that -BZF- Petrolul Berca were the better team. -BZF- Petrolul Berca's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
