After 14 minutes of play, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Dudu Berger made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luiz Fabiano de Lima was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luiz Fabiano de Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldinho Gaucho, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Gustavo Aparecido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anıl Oker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hermínio Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 24th minute of the match, Hermínio Moraes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gustavo Aparecido saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Hermínio Moraes came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Pombal 2003 F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermínio Moraes couldn't finish the play. 29 minutes into the match, Pombal 2003 F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldinho Gaucho came free, but Luiz Fabiano de Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Luiz Fabiano de Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldinho Gaucho in the 29th minute of play. Sixto Palos made in the 43rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Onur Candar however managed to control. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anıl Oker stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Genílson Costa's late challenge caught a ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anıl Oker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Aparecido having to interfere. The supporters of ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ booed when Pombal 2003 F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sixto Palos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustavo Aparecido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anıl Oker in the 91st minute of play.
