Lamadrid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Javier Luar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guaberto Orlandus was a little too slow when Cesar Ourente got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 13th match minute, C. A. Gral. Lamadrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Koldo to maneuver through the defense. Emilio Vitin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Emilio Vitin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Ramos in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Palban in the 27th minute of play forced Pendex's goalkeeper Guaberto Orlandus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 29 played minutes Pendex got a freekick which was hit by Jacobo Pirro. 34 minutes into the match, Pendex's goalkeeper Guaberto Orlandus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cesar Ourente. In the 37th minute Leonel Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Vitin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Javier Luar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Guaberto Orlandus made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prudencio Chumo in the 40th minute of play forced Pendex's goalkeeper Guaberto Orlandus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. C. A. Gral. Lamadrid's Emilio Vitin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Gauargi in the 41st minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonel Ramos was the one to do the kick off. If Javier Luar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Leonel Ramos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emilio Vitin was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. In the 59th minute, Pendex's Pastor Oso seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Pastor Oso the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Pendex protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Pastor Oso had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 60th minute, Pastor Oso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cesar Ourente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, C. A. Gral. Lamadrid's Prudencio Chumo got a free kick in the 64th minute. After 68 minutes, Cristian Gauargi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pendex and the C. A. Gral. Lamadrid players grew even worse after the yellow card. C. A. Gral. Lamadrid's Eustaquio Palban took a good shot, in the 69th minute, which hit the crossbar above Guaberto Orlandus's head, and flew over the goal. Pendex's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by C. A. Gral. Lamadrid. Lamadrid fans cheered their team off the field, for while Pendex had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
