In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind TurboUC's goalkeeper Marino Brunet, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Pedro Mantorras ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marino Brunet was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Terceirense F.C. were furious when António Fontes was red carded, 15 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Terceirense F.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 14th minute. Penalty! After 17 minutes of play, TurboUC's Edgar Villamayor made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Robert Enke was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marcos Guilisasti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robert Enke read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Marino Brunet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Mantorras in the 25th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Karlos Tacull hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Pedro Mantorras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to TurboUC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Karlos Tacull hit a great ball. Lucas Luis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Marino Brunet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xabel Vallejo was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Terceirense F.C. booed when TurboUC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Javier Maroto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 59 minutes into the match, TurboUC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Mantorras came free, but Marino Brunet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marino Brunet came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Terceirense F.C.'s Pedro Mantorras. But to his dismay, Pedro Mantorras quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Edgar Villamayor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Terceirense F.C. booed when TurboUC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Villamayor didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Gregório Moutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Terceirense F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Gregório Moutinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marino Brunet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. TurboUC's Marino Brunet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregório Moutinho in the 82nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in TurboUC's zone, Gregório Moutinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marino Brunet came out of the goal and Gregório Moutinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to TurboUC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Karlos Tacull hit a great ball. In the 96th minute, Karlos Tacull hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Terceirense F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
