Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rômulo de Sena started the match with the kick off. Ronaldo Joinvilense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diamantino Catarinense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute of the match Galo do Japi got a corner. Guará FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Laerte Caca-Rato ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 9th minute, Ronaldo Joinvilense made a precise shot to the right of Diamantino Catarinense. Guará FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Armando Sabino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivo Figueiredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Fernandinho Pinheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A sloppy throw-in by Juan Ceresso in the 16th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Galo do Japi's Dudu Leme. If Jeferson Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 22nd minute of the game Juan Ceresso made a throw-in which Eurico Félix played forward. Eurico Félix struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Armando Sabino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guará FC. Galo do Japi's Armando Sabino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Galo do Japi from getting a goal against them. A sloppy throw-in by Juan Ceresso in the 33rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Galo do Japi's Dudu Leme. Ronaldo Joinvilense took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Diamantino Catarinense. Diamantino Catarinense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Galo do Japi's Dudu Leme managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Juan Ceresso in the 44 minute of the game. Ronaldo Joinvilense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Galo do Japi were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeferson Nóbrega made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Ronaldo Joinvilense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Galo do Japi's attentive Dudu Leme managed to snatch the ball when Juan Ceresso made a throw-in in the 56th minute of the game. After 57 minutes of play, Galo do Japi's Ronaldo Joinvilense made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Diamantino Catarinense was left in no man's land by his defense there! The throw-in from Juan Ceresso in the 69th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Galo do Japi's Dudu Leme. Ronaldo Joinvilense scored 0-5 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diamantino Catarinense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jeferson Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 88th match minute, Galo do Japi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cícero Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. Guará FC's Diamantino Catarinense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Guará FC from getting a goal against them. If Jeferson Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
