An unexpectedly hard shot by Timoteo Muc in the 19th minute of play forced Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's goalkeeper Fabio Ponce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Domingo Torres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabio Ponce read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute of the match Sportivo Mela Banco got a corner. Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Domingo Torres ran over to the corner to take the kick. Chalá Gamboa kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Domingo Torres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Denis Edur kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Udalaitz Lluch kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's Quiróz Maquiano got a free kick in the 36th minute. Aureliano Romano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Fabio Ponce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Perlaza Corcoba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fabio Ponce had in the 68thth minute some difficulties stopping Domingo Torres's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball After 74 played minutes Sportivo Mela Banco got a freekick which was hit by Simon Isusko. Marcial Ticho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perlaza Corcoba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cayetano Gora received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Fabio Ponce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Domingo Torres blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabio Ponce having to make a save. In the 86th match minute, Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quiróz Maquiano to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute, Udalaitz Lluch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Sportivo Mela Banco's Timoteo Muc got a free kick in the 95th minute. If Hector-Luis Cadrecha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sportivo Mela Banco were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
