The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of New Joinville - FSCMZ booed when UPTEXTIL.COM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Cardozo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 3rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Oscar Azevedo. UPTEXTIL.COM's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, New Joinville - FSCMZ's Angelo Osasun got a free kick in the 6th minute. Allen Obando recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, New Joinville - FSCMZ's Xande Kahn got control of the ball when Zé Roberto Camargo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 40th minute, Angelo Osasun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zé Roberto Camargo in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xande Kahn saved New Joinville - FSCMZ from getting behind. After 43 minutes, Lucas Sjödin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New Joinville - FSCMZ and the UPTEXTIL.COM players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rd minute, Lucas Sjödin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zé Roberto Camargo to strike the kick off in the second half. Oscar Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Osasun in the 54th minute of play. Xande Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the match, UPTEXTIL.COM's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo came free, but Oscar Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Angelo Osasun came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the New Joinville - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angelo Osasun couldn't finish the play. Allen Obando kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 71st minute of the match Jardel Souza sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Xande Kahn skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to New Joinville - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Marquinhos Jacinto hit a great ball. In the 73rd match minute, New Joinville - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chiquinho de Amorim to maneuver through the defense. Claudinei Botelho didn't quite understand what happened when in the 75 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. In the 77th minute, Ediberto Marinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 78 minutes into the match, UPTEXTIL.COM's goalkeeper Oscar Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angelo Osasun. UPTEXTIL.COM's Oscar Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allen Obando in the 80th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Allen Obando's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oscar Azevedo was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Angelo Osasun came free with the goalkeeper in the 90th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Oscar Azevedo could save by the left post. If Angelo Osasun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 93 minutes into the match, UPTEXTIL.COM's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Osasun came free, but Oscar Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeremias Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Xande Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. New Joinville - FSCMZ's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
