In the 14th minute, Erubiel Egun made a precise shot to the right of Luís Maia. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 20 minutes into the match, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Erubiel Egun came free, but Luís Maia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Federico Muno charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Federico Muno the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 21 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for MILAN COLOMBIANO! The referee gave PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ a penalty, 23 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Thiago Alcântara, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of MILAN COLOMBIANO's Siro Cordarrell. 2-1. In the 25th minute, Gilson Saldanha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 28 played minutes MILAN COLOMBIANO got a freekick which was hit by Federico Muno. A sloppy throw-in by Gonçalo Faria in the 31st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by MILAN COLOMBIANO's Dionisio Orlo. After a rather tough play, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Bebeto Paranaense got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 34 minutes into the game, Abel Mirande cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Luís Maia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 45 minutes into the game, Marcelo Costas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MILAN COLOMBIANO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ the free kick. The supporters of PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ booed when MILAN COLOMBIANO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Costas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erubiel Egun was the one to do the kick off. Diego Milito scored 8-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Maia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luís Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Milito, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 96th minute, Diego Milito ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Maia was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-1. MILAN COLOMBIANO were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ for a fine match.
