Diogo Yurin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hortêncio Duarte having to interfere. Segundo Gol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas Dionísio, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Segundo Gol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gong Xiong Fan in the 17th minute of play. New England Minas's Segundo Gol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrado Qwinton in the 19th minute of play. Pindorama's Hortêncio Duarte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Pindorama from getting a goal against them. Fletcher Lund who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Hortêncio Duarte when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Conrado Qwinton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Gol having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diogo Yurin in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hortêncio Duarte saved Pindorama from getting behind. Waylon McQueen kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Qwinton in the 39th minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Segundo Gol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Diogo Yurin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hortêncio Duarte was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. When Jacques Stovall fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New England Minas's protests and gave Jacques Stovall a yellow card for diving instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fletcher Lund to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Leal came free, but Segundo Gol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fletcher Lund took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hortêncio Duarte. Hortêncio Duarte dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Diogo Yurin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hortêncio Duarte having to make a save. John Profesor kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Hortêncio Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fletcher Lund in the 66th minute of play. Miles Newsome charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miles Newsome the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to New England Minas getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Miles Newsome hit a great ball. In the 71stth minute of the game Fletcher Lund who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pindorama's Hortêncio Duarte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hortêncio Duarte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fletcher Lund's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. New England Minas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fletcher Lund in the 72nd minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Wilfredo Middleton heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 78th match minute, New England Minas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ayrton Senna to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Fletcher Lund put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Hortêncio Duarte. Segundo Gol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gong Xiong Fan in the 85th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Mané Bezerra could shoot a difficult shot in the 87th minute, which Segundo Gol however easily saved by the left post. Hortêncio Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fletcher Lund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diogo Yurin's late challenge caught a Pindorama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diogo Yurin helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, New England Minas's Diogo Yurin got a free kick in the 91st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fletcher Lund in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hortêncio Duarte saved Pindorama from getting behind. Gong Xiong Fan hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Pindorama's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
