NAPOLI's goal looked a bit too open when Madeo Aboitiz came free, but Fulvio Patricelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Ignacio Bozo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nejat Özoğuz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fulvio Patricelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Canto in the 9th minute of play. After 10 played minutes Navalito got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo Canto. An unexpectedly hard shot by Madeo Aboitiz in the 12th minute of play forced S.S.C. NAPOLI's goalkeeper Fulvio Patricelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute Madeo Aboitiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulvio Patricelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frank Carlucci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to S.S.C. Fulvio Patricelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Canto, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 25th minute of the match Navalito got a corner. S.S.C. NAPOLI's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leopoldo Lattanzi ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of S.S.C. NAPOLI's goalie and right to Lokman Şömel. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. S.S.C. NAPOLI's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After a defensive mix-up in S.S.C. NAPOLI's zone, Lokman Şömel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fulvio Patricelli came out of the goal and Lokman Şömel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 36 played minutes Navalito got a freekick which was hit by Tor Chiguaicura. S.S.C. NAPOLI's Fabiano Monaco got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 40 minutes into the game, Navalito's Gonzalo Canto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fulvio Patricelli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Navalito's zone, Emilio Felicetti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Ignacio Bozo came out of the goal and Emilio Felicetti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. S.S.C. NAPOLI were awarded a corner in the 46th minute after Navalito's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fabiano Monaco took the corner. Fabiano Monaco made a great header on S.S.C. NAPOLI's corner, it was just that Navalito's José Ignacio Bozo managed to reach the ball for a save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gonzalo Canto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fedele Volponi kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. The long shot by Leopoldo Lattanzi in the 51st minute really tested Fulvio Patricelli's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Madeo Aboitiz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Fulvio Patricelli when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 55 minutes into the match, Navalito's goal looked a bit too open when Attilio Riccardi came free, but José Ignacio Bozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fulvio Patricelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Canto in the 61st minute of the match. S.S.C. NAPOLI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Navalito the free kick. The supporters of Navalito booed when S.S.C. NAPOLI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fedele Volponi didn't get a good kick on the ball.
