Spectators: 37 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul started the match with the kick off. Cyprian Podolski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 12th minute, Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 16th minute, SS SuperSonics's Iwan Pilitowski seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Iwan Pilitowski the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of SS SuperSonics protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Iwan Pilitowski had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Cyprian Podolski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul in the 18th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the game, one of FC Lugano:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Tadeusz Radzyminski took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Godo Gøl. Godo Gøl dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Cyprian Podolski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gregor Wirth went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Cyprian Podolski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Qiao Jian, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. SS SuperSonics's Cyprian Podolski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Qiao Jian in the 43rd minute of play. In the 44th minute, Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cyprian Podolski was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Cyprian Podolski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Qiao Jian, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

The wind increased when Gucci Gangstad made the kick off in the second half. SS SuperSonics's defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul scored to the left of an out of position Cyprian Podolski, making the score, 1-5. FC Lugano's Teddy Racine was substituted for Garnier Nüesch. FC Lugano's Gian-Carlo Van Den Maagdenberg was substituted for Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon. In the 62nd minute, FC Lugano's Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-6. Qiao Jian took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cyprian Podolski. Cyprian Podolski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-7. After a rather tough play, FC Lugano's Gautier Gehrig got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Cyprian Podolski didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 76th minute, which inside left pole to 1-8. After some careless play in the SS SuperSonics defense, Qiao Jian kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cyprian Podolski. The SS SuperSonics fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cyprian Podolski should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul in the 87th minute of play forced SS SuperSonics's goalkeeper Cyprian Podolski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute Gregor Wirth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cyprian Podolski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Gian-Carlo Van Den Maagdenberg fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 97 minutes, Qiao Jian made it 1-10 with a short kick to the right side. SS SuperSonics's Cyprian Podolski tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle sounded FC Lugano left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SS SuperSonics.
