The referee ignored Fire Breathers FC's protests and gave Txaran Porta a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC Lugano booed when Fire Breathers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Txaran Porta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anacleto Terrilla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vico Sticher in the 23rd minute of play forced Fire Breathers FC's goalkeeper Anacleto Terrilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anacleto Terrilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anacleto Terrilla. Anacleto Terrilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Anacleto Terrilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul in the 48th minute of play. The Fire Breathers FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Lugano were winning 0-1.

In the 55th minute, Txaran Porta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 58 minutes, Cecilio Castells mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fire Breathers FC and the FC Lugano players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 58 played minutes Fire Breathers FC got a freekick which was hit by Cecilio Castells. FC Lugano made a substitution. Gian-Carlo Van Den Maagdenberg replaced Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon. A collision led to Fire Breathers FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Cecilio Castells hit a great ball. Anacleto Terrilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul in the 61st minute of play. In the 69th match minute, Fire Breathers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernard Lizarazu to maneuver through the defense. Qiao Jian could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Anacleto Terrilla made a huge save. After 78 minutes of play, FC Lugano's Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anacleto Terrilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! Godo Gøl came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Fire Breathers FC's Tavio Prus. But to his dismay, Tavio Prus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Fire Breathers FC's Anacleto Terrilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Fire Breathers FC from getting a goal against them. In the 92nd minute Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anacleto Terrilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 94 minutes of play, Fire Breathers FC's Tavio Prus made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Godo Gøl was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
