The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Robert Hammond shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zebastian Göransson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruninho Falcão took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zebastian Göransson. Zebastian Göransson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Garlic Eaters's Casey Chegwyn got a free kick in the 12th minute. With a little luck, Garlic Eaters's Gul Keep got control of the ball when Markus Åkesson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Garlic Eaters's Bruninho Falcão got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zebastian Göransson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Hammond in the 23rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sävedalen's Christian Walroth got a free kick in the 29th minute. A collision led to Garlic Eaters getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Gez Barber hit a great ball. Erik Bokelund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gul Keep having to interfere. Casey Chegwyn hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Garlic Eaters's zone, Markus Åkesson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gul Keep came out of the goal and Markus Åkesson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zebastian Göransson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from James Tuck, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sävedalen's zone, Robert Hammond stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zebastian Göransson came out of the goal and Robert Hammond tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Garlic Eaters were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Jan-Erik Larsson made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Sävedalen's goalkeeper Zebastian Göransson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robert Hammond. Zebastian Göransson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruninho Falcão in the 57th minute of the match. Zebastian Göransson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robert Hammond in the 60th minute. The supporters of Garlic Eaters booed when Sävedalen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rudolf Lange didn't get a good kick on the ball. Garlic Eaters's James Tuck got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robert Hammond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Garlic Eaters's Gul Keep played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikael Larsfält in the 66th minute of play. Bruninho Falcão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Zebastian Göransson made a huge save. Gez Barber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Markus Åkesson during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 73 played minutes Sävedalen got a freekick which was hit by Markus Åkesson. Sävedalen's Zebastian Göransson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Sävedalen from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Erik Larsson in the 77th minute of play forced Garlic Eaters's goalkeeper Gul Keep to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruninho Falcão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zebastian Göransson made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Robert Hammond sent off a good shot on target. James Tuck received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zebastian Göransson came out and tried to block the shot, but James Tuck slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 87th minute. In the 91st match minute, Garlic Eaters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruninho Falcão to maneuver through the defense. Erik Bokelund struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Gul Keep didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sävedalen. Mikael Larsfält received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Gul Keep tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Garlic Eaters's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
