In the 3rd match minute, YELLOW FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kostas Seremeglis to maneuver through the defense. 5 minutes into the game, Blue Mountain State's Macit Zafer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Theodosis Rellis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 9 minutes into the match, YELLOW FC's goalkeeper Theodosis Rellis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Artun Şenyurt. The long shot by Uğurcan Tanören in the 13th minute really tested Theodosis Rellis's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 17th minute, Artun Şenyurt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Theodosis Rellis was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. If Muhsin Taze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artun Şenyurt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theodosis Rellis having to interfere. Theodosis Rellis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artun Şenyurt in the 29th minute of play. Theodosis Rellis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Macit Zafer showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 36 minute of play. The supporters of YELLOW FC booed when Blue Mountain State was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artun Şenyurt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yalçın Olgunay didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fivos Kagouras went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Artun Şenyurt made a kick off. After a rather tough play, YELLOW FC's Vassilis Koliopoulos got a free kick in the 54th minute. When Necati Eripek fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Blue Mountain State's protests and gave Necati Eripek a yellow card for diving instead. 58 minutes into the match, YELLOW FC's goal looked a bit too open when Artun Şenyurt came free, but Theodosis Rellis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 59 played minutes YELLOW FC got a freekick which was hit by Petros Soumedakis. YELLOW FC's Theodosis Rellis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artun Şenyurt in the 60th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Artun Şenyurt put it in 5-2 from a short distance just to the right of Theodosis Rellis. Macit Zafer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theodosis Rellis having to interfere. Theodosis Rellis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Macit Zafer in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Nikos Triantopoulos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Yalçın Olgunay. The goal made the score 6-3. Theodosis Rellis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artun Şenyurt, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Theodosis Rellis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Muhsin Taze, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Thanos Perdikas fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored YELLOW FC's protests and gave Thanos Perdikas a yellow card for diving instead. Artun Şenyurt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 89 minutes, Necati Eripek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blue Mountain State's supporters crossed their fingers, but Necati Eripek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nuralp Şahinkan's late challenge caught a YELLOW FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nuralp Şahinkan helped the player get up and apologised. Nuralp Şahinkan kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Blue Mountain State's Yalçın Olgunay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikos Triantopoulos in the 94th minute of play. Yalçın Olgunay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fivos Kagouras in the 96th minute of play. Blue Mountain State's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
