The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Júlio Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's supporters rose to their feet, but Júlio Brasil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wang Cheng breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE booed when Gärsnäs BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bo-Erik Skröder didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute of the match Luís Paulo Paiva sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wang Cheng skillfully saved the ball. After 28 minutes of play, Gärsnäs BF's Bo Drake made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gláuber Mattos was left in no man's land by his defense there! 33 minutes into the game, Bo Drake cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Gláuber Mattos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Faustão Alagoano during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 38 played minutes CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE got a freekick which was hit by Faustão Alagoano. Wang Cheng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Paulo Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Simamane LuaLua kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Bo-Erik Skröder kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Gláuber Mattos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bo Drake, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Timmy Ahlberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Gláuber Mattos got control of the ball when Bo Drake tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 58th minute Ingvar Nyqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gláuber Mattos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Gláuber Mattos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE from getting a goal against them. Gláuber Mattos made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Timmy Ahlberg sent off a good shot on target. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Faustão Alagoano got his second yellow card of the match in the 70th minute. The referee ordered Faustão Alagoano off the ground. Gláuber Mattos acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 72nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Rickard Ugla. 73 minutes into the match, CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's goalkeeper Gláuber Mattos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Timmy Ahlberg. Gláuber Mattos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bo Drake, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wang Cheng came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Júlio Brasil. But to his dismay, Júlio Brasil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 82nd minute Bo Drake shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gláuber Mattos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gláuber Mattos made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Bo Drake sent off a good shot on target. 91 minutes into the match, CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's goalkeeper Gláuber Mattos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Timmy Ahlberg. Timmy Ahlberg made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 94thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Gláuber Mattos would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post.
