The crowd rose to their feet as Castanheiro SC's Eliézer da Silveira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kenneth van der Leegte. That made the score 1-0 after 2 minutes of play. Kenneth van der Leegte was a little too slow when Leonardo Trancoso got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 11th minute, Umberto Dionísio made a precise shot to the right of Kenneth van der Leegte. SV Wissenkerke's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Trancoso in the 14th minute of play forced SV Wissenkerke's goalkeeper Kenneth van der Leegte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SV Wissenkerke's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Leonardo Trancoso 14 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-0. 18 minutes into the match, SV Wissenkerke's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Trancoso came free, but Kenneth van der Leegte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leendert Looze kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After 24 minutes, Sjors Breugel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SV Wissenkerke and the Castanheiro SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Castanheiro SC booed when SV Wissenkerke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sjors Breugel didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Célio Pena came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Castanheiro SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Célio Pena couldn't finish the play. Umberto Dionísio did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 5-0 to the left of a surprised Kenneth van der Leegte 28 minutes into the match. Kenneth van der Leegte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Trancoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sjors Breugel hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute, Castanheiro SC's Leonardo Trancoso dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 6-0. Kenneth van der Leegte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilson Veloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Trancoso in the 44th minute of play forced SV Wissenkerke's goalkeeper Kenneth van der Leegte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, SV Wissenkerke's Kenneth van der Leegte got control of the ball when Eliézer da Silveira tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

In the 50th match minute, SV Wissenkerke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralph Cramer to maneuver through the defense. Castanheiro SC's Marcelo Eger managed to work through SV Wissenkerke's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Marcelo Eger dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. A collision led to SV Wissenkerke getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Sjors Breugel hit a great ball. In the 58th minute of the match Célio Pena sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kenneth van der Leegte skillfully saved the ball. Kenneth van der Leegte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilson Veloso in the 61st minute of play. Kenneth van der Leegte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Trancoso in the 70th minute of the match. Kenneth van der Leegte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliézer da Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kenneth van der Leegte was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee ended the match the Castanheiro SC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
