Brufoss IL's Olav Øverby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Maley in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Mikhail Kuklis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olav Øverby. Brufoss IL's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mikhail Kuklis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Valeriy Vishnevskiy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 19 minutes into the match, Brufoss IL's goal looked a bit too open when Valeriy Vishnevskiy came free, but Olav Øverby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute, Tore Fagermo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute Daniil Biryukov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olav Øverby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olav Øverby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikhail Kuklis, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Igor Maley in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olav Øverby saved Brufoss IL from getting behind. In the 33rd minute Igor Maley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olav Øverby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tore Fagermo kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Brufoss IL's goal looked a bit too open when Daniil Biryukov came free, but Olav Øverby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 36 minutes, Bastian Ytterstad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brufoss IL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bastian Ytterstad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tor-Egil Arntsen got free with Doğa Hazret in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 45th match minute, Brufoss IL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bendik Strande to maneuver through the defense. The Brufoss IL players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. STORM were winning 0-1.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tor-Egil Arntsen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Doğa Hazret made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenneth Foldnes in the 51st minute of play. Daniil Biryukov received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Olav Øverby came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniil Biryukov slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 52nd minute. Kenneth Foldnes hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Olav Øverby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Maley in the 56th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Brufoss IL's Kenneth Foldnes got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute, Daniil Biryukov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Doğa Hazret made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bastian Ytterstad in the 64th minute of play. Olav Øverby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Maley in the 68th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Maley in the 77th minute of play forced Brufoss IL's goalkeeper Olav Øverby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doğa Hazret dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Brufoss IL's Kevin Hægeland was substituted for Tor-Egil Arntsen. Brufoss IL's Eskil Almaas was substituted for Tore Fagermo. In the 92nd minute Kenneth Foldnes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doğa Hazret saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Brufoss IL supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching STORM's performance. The match ended with a win for STORM.
