The referee ignored Maverick Futebol Clube's protests and gave Raimundo Abraão a yellow card for diving instead. Raimundo Abraão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Birila having to interfere. Maverick Futebol Clube's Raimundo Abraão got his second yellow card of the match in the 10th minute. The referee ordered Raimundo Abraão off the ground. Raimundo Abraão kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Blas Todor managed to get in a good position for a shot. 浮生半日闲's supporters rose to their feet, but Blas Todor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wesley Meira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Maverick Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Paulo Renato Linhares hit a great ball. Maverick Futebol Clube's Wesley Meira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Maverick Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. When Olívio Teles fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maverick Futebol Clube's protests and gave Olívio Teles a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute, Olívio Teles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 冯永钢 might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wesley Meira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. 冯永钢 ran back to his position shaking his head. Maverick Futebol Clube's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Blas Todor scored to the left of an out of position Wesley Meira, making the score, 1-0. In the 32nd minute 柯宽帆 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wesley Meira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maverick Futebol Clube's Wesley Meira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blas Todor in the 38th minute of play. Blas Todor who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Wesley Meira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Wesley Meira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Blas Todor's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes into the game, João Tinoco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maverick Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 浮生半日闲 the free kick. After 43 played minutes Maverick Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by João Tinoco. In the 47th minute of the match 洪国烽 sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wesley Meira skillfully saved the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Blas Todor to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Maverick Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Blas Todor came free, but Wesley Meira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Blas Todor took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wesley Meira. Wesley Meira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. A collision led to 浮生半日闲 getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. 洪国烽 hit a great ball. In the 66th minute, Blas Todor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wesley Meira was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Blas Todor in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wesley Meira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Blas Todor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wesley Meira was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Blas Todor put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Wesley Meira. If Sílvio Luiz Vidal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 83 minutes, Sandrinho Quintal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maverick Futebol Clube and the 浮生半日闲 players grew even worse after the yellow card. When 浮生半日闲's Blas Todor in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Maverick Futebol Clube's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of 浮生半日闲 booed when Maverick Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vágner Proença didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wesley Meira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 齐斌亦, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. During the 92nd minute of the match João Tinoco completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave João Tinoco a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 93rd minute, João Tinoco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wesley Meira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blas Todor in the 94th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Blas Todor in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wesley Meira saved Maverick Futebol Clube from getting behind. Maverick Futebol Clube's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
