The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Omar Montes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carter Gargano having to interfere. Carter Gargano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niki Bundev, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Bernardo Henry managed to get in a good position for a shot. Doping Positivo's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Henry was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yassine Bounou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 37th minute, Bernardo Henry reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Yassine Bounou. The goal made the score 1-0. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mauro Telmo was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Doping Positivo getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Constantino Shepherd hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Yala's Jorge Nesor tried to score from far away in the 51st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Doping Positivo's Carter Gargano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niki Bundev in the 55th minute of play. Yala's Yassine Bounou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Ignazio in the 58th minute of play. Doping Positivo were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after Yala's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Honorio Mederi took the corner. Bernardo Henry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Yassine Bounou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Yala's zone, Mauro Telmo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yassine Bounou came out of the goal and Mauro Telmo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Yala's Aldo Asier got a free kick in the 70th minute. Honorio Mederi hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. The supporters of Yala booed when Doping Positivo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Ignazio didn't get a good kick on the ball.
