Sune Tinglöf kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. 4 minutes into the match, JKs Talanger's goal looked a bit too open when Duško Turnšek came free, but Matthias Fransson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matthias Fransson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zlatko Goričan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling László Tar in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matthias Fransson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 10th match minute, JKs Talanger was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josef Adelsköld to maneuver through the defense. Matthias Fransson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duško Turnšek, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. JKs Talanger's Matthias Fransson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zlatko Goričan in the 12th minute of play. Josef Adelsköld kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Zlatko Goričan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Matthias Fransson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Sune Tinglöf hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute, Ragnar Fribäck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ragnar Fribäck during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Matthias Fransson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duško Turnšek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. He walked away shaking his head. Sune Tinglöf's late challenge caught a HIT Gorica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sune Tinglöf helped the player get up and apologised. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The wind increased when Duško Turnšek made the kick off in the second half. JKs Talanger's Matthias Fransson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duško Turnšek in the 51st minute of play. Duško Turnšek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Matthias Fransson made a huge save. In the 56th minute Jernej Petrovič shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthias Fransson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Duško Turnšek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Matthias Fransson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by JKs Talanger's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Istok Šabotić was slow to take the kick. During this time HIT Gorica's players had a chance to rest. Istok Šabotić made a great header on HIT Gorica's corner, it was just that JKs Talanger's Matthias Fransson managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 64th match minute, JKs Talanger was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claes Arenstedt to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Istok Šabotić sped through JKs Talanger's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Matthias Fransson. HIT Gorica made a substitution. Brite McCready replaced Venancio Abalos. Sune Tinglöf was shown his second yellow card after 71 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Sune Tinglöf hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Matthias Fransson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zlatko Goričan in the 73rd minute of play. Ragnar Fribäck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Konstantin Pančur having to interfere. Matthias Fransson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zlatko Goričan in the 78th minute of the match. Matthias Fransson was a little too slow when Istok Šabotić got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 0-6. Matthias Fransson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zlatko Goričan in the 85th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Istok Šabotić reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Matthias Fransson. The goal made the score 0-8. HIT Gorica's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
