Bernardo Henry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chiquinho Guerra having to interfere. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's goalkeeper Chiquinho Guerra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Duarte Luz in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carter Gargano saved Doping Positivo from getting behind. 19 minutes into the game, Manoel Paraense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Doping Positivo the free kick. A collision led to Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Manoel Paraense hit a great ball. The supporters of Doping Positivo booed when Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toninho Orange didn't get a good kick on the ball. Justo Rios missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 22 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Chiquinho Guerra right hand side. In the 37th minute, Falcão Orange hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ booed when Doping Positivo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorio Mederi didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Duarte Luz to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Aymerick Orange was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mauro Telmo in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chiquinho Guerra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Honorio Mederi hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Mauro Telmo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Mauro Telmo scored to the left of an out of position Chiquinho Guerra, making the score, 0-4. After a defensive mix-up in Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's zone, Mauro Telmo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chiquinho Guerra came out of the goal and Mauro Telmo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Doping Positivo's attentive Justo Rios managed to snatch the ball when Dito Rezende made a throw-in in the 95th minute of the game. The Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Doping Positivo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
