After 9 played minutes ÓKINJÔ FC got a freekick which was hit by Min Nao. The corner ended in Dale Dingle almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ÓKINJÔ FC's Afonso Meireles did a great save. Tommy Thompson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisito Frasquito in the 28th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Ed Sills's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Afonso Meireles was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. In the 30th minute Des Bancroft shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Meireles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When FC LIVERPOOL's Stew Jewson in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The ÓKINJÔ FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Afonso Meireles should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

ÓKINJÔ FC's Silvestre Garcia was substituted for Salvador Quintela. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvestre Garcia to make the kick off. Luisito Frasquito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 66th minute, Stew Jewson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 68th minute Silvestre Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Thompson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stew Jewson succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 76th playminute. Stew Jewson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Afonso Meireles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. In the 84th minute, FC LIVERPOOL's Devon Edmonton dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. 87 minutes into the match, ÓKINJÔ FC's goalkeeper Afonso Meireles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stew Jewson. In the 88th minute, Stew Jewson made a precise shot to the right of Afonso Meireles. ÓKINJÔ FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. Tommy Thompson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Min Nao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The FC LIVERPOOL supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC LIVERPOOL would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
