Torgny Blom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manual Hope in the 6th minute of play. Peter Haglund hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manual Hope got free with Torgny Blom in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mario Gleason got free with Torgny Blom in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 17 minutes into the match, Mario Gleason had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Torgny Blom. Höglunda IK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mario Gleason was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Manual Hope's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Torgny Blom read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mario Gleason got free with Torgny Blom in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Höglunda IK's Torgny Blom got control of the ball when Mario Gleason tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Höglunda IK's goalkeeper Torgny Blom, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Manual Hope ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Torgny Blom. Torgny Blom yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Höglunda IK's Torgny Blom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Höglunda IK from getting a goal against them. 38 minutes into the match, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Haglund came free, but Marco Beauchesne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Höglunda IK's Torgny Blom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Höglunda IK from getting a goal against them. Torgny Blom made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Manual Hope sent off a good shot on target. Mario Gleason in the 44thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Torgny Blom, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Höglunda IK's goalkeeper Torgny Blom, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Mario Gleason made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Sport Lisboa e Benfica getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Mario Gleason hit a great ball. Manual Hope scored 4-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Torgny Blom, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Torgny Blom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Gleason in the 55th minute of the match. A collision led to Sport Lisboa e Benfica getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Foster Hirsch hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the match, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Mario Gleason sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Torgny Blom narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 62 minutes into the game, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Mario Gleason nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Torgny Blom made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. In the 65th minute, Manual Hope left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sport Lisboa e Benfica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Marcellin Stoddard took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Torgny Blom. Höglunda IK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Torgny Blom didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manual Hope went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. Mario Gleason recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manual Hope fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torgny Blom having to interfere. Marco Beauchesne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Olof Sjöberg in the 95th minute of the match.
