In the 7th minute, Foster Hirsch made a precise shot to the right of Kolbeinn Ármannsson. Æsir Ásgarðr's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, Mario Gleason notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Æsir Ásgarðr's Kolbeinn Ármannsson. Kolbeinn Ármannsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aron Hafbergsson charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aron Hafbergsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 15 played minutes Æsir Ásgarðr got a freekick which was hit by Aron Hafbergsson. 16 minutes into the game, Manual Hope cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Kolbeinn Ármannsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marco Beauchesne made an important save on a dangerous shot by Örn Týrsson in the 26th minute. The supporters of Æsir Ásgarðr booed when Sport Lisboa e Benfica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Foster Hirsch didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Æsir Ásgarðr's goal looked a bit too open when Foster Hirsch came free, but Kolbeinn Ármannsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, Örn Týrsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Æsir Ásgarðr's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sport Lisboa e Benfica the free kick. Örn Týrsson kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Kolbeinn Ármannsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manual Hope went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Foster Hirsch got a free kick in the 45th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Skjöldur Reimarsson to strike the kick off in the second half. Mario Gleason who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Kolbeinn Ármannsson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Mario Gleason put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Kolbeinn Ármannsson. Kolbeinn Ármannsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mario Gleason went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Kolbeinn Ármannsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manual Hope in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Mario Gleason hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marquis Hopper kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goal looked a bit too open when Skjöldur Reimarsson came free, but Marco Beauchesne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Manual Hope slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kolbeinn Ármannsson. That made the score 0-8 after 84 minutes of play. Kolbeinn Ármannsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manual Hope, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Kolbeinn Ármannsson made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Mario Gleason sent off a good shot on target. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
